My work is shaped around my interest in the relationship our society has developed between the natural world and our built environment. There is a very overwhelming presence of human influence in our lives, making it nearly impossible to see and experience a place completely untouched by us. Within my images you can find a strange amalgamation of man made objects colliding, meshing, and growing into the organic shapes of plants, animals, and my own sub-conscious. My dreams are an integral part of my work, and the creatures I incorporate into my pieces represent the vibrant imagination that inherently exists both in nature and the man made world. I intend to create a vision of untouched nature amidst our urban settings, and to convey the similarities and the possibilities of a working system between the artificial and the real.
